There are chandeliers that simply light a room. And then there are pieces that turn it into architecture. This four-tier chandelier belongs to the second category: 80 large glass tubes in pink and white vetro alabastro, arranged on a polished nickel-plated structure, descend in ordered layers that build a luminous column of extraordinary presence.

The alabastro technique, rooted in the Italian art glass tradition, gives each tube its distinctive marble-like grain: a soft, veined texture that diffuses the light gently instead of reflecting it, wrapping the space in a warm, sophisticated glow. Every tube is individually crafted by Italian master artisans and measures 9¾ in (25 cm) in height, and it is the rhythm of these eighty repeated elements, pink alternating with white, that gives the piece its architectural elegance. The design, in the late-XX-century style, pairs this sculptural discipline with the cool precision of polished nickel, a combination equally at ease in classic and contemporary interiors.

The chandelier measures 70⅞ in (160 cm) in height with its chain and 35⅜ in (90 cm) without, with an overall diameter of 33½ in (85 cm) and a weight of about 132 lb (60 kg). Eleven E14 light sources (bulbs not included) illuminate the tubes from within, revealing the full depth of the alabaster grain.
