Vintage Murano Glass Mirror – Yellow Murrine | One of a Kind

DUTIES FREE WORLDWIDE

A Origianl vintage mirror reimagined in the language of Murano glass.
Hand-worked yellow glass elements, applied one by one onto the original frame.
One of a kind.

A second life, in glass
The original mirror has been given a new identity.
Vivid yellow Vistosi Murano glass elements, each shaped by hand, are applied directly onto the surface of the frame.
The sculptural glass plays against the vintage character of the piece, giving it something new while its history stays in view.

Where past and present meet
Italian craftsmanship, vintage design and a contemporary eye come together here.
Nothing from the past is replaced. Murano glass brings it back to life, and an existing object becomes something new.

Unrepeatable by nature
Every glass element carries the small irregularities and variations of handmade Murano glass.
No two compositions can ever be the same.

In which setting does this piece work best?

A mirror like this one doesn't blend into a room. It becomes the room's focal point.

The yellow Murano glass catches the light and throws it back, so the piece asks for a wall where it can be seen and given space.

It works best:

  • In an entryway, above a console. It's the first thing a guest sees, and it sets the tone for the whole home.
  • In a powder room or guest bathroom, where a single bold gesture turns a small space into a memorable one.
  • In a dining room or living room, above a credenza or sideboard, as the one sculptural accent in the room.
  • In boutique hotels and hospitality spaces, such as a lobby, a suite or a private lounge, where every object tells a story.

On colour and style:

Against neutral walls (plaster, stone, warm white, greige) the yellow reads as pure light.

Against deep tones (ink blue, forest green, charcoal) it becomes graphic and dramatic.

It sits naturally in mid-century, eclectic and collector's interiors, and it brings warmth to minimalist spaces that need one strong gesture.

Tip for designers: leave it breathing room. The piece does its best work alone on a wall, not inside a gallery arrangement.
