An authentic 1950s chandelier in warm amber glass, on a monumental scale: about 320 cm (10.5 ft) tall.
A source of golden light, and a sculpture suspended in space.
Amber light
Amber is one of the warmest colours glass can hold.
When the chandelier is lit, the light passes through it and turns golden: soft, enveloping, never cold.
The room fills with warm reflections that change with the hour and the angle of view.
Made for height
At about 320 cm (10.5 ft) overall, this chandelier matches spaces few pieces can fill.
Its generous proportions and decorative structure make it the natural focal point of the room.
It's the first thing you see when you walk in, and the last thing you forget.
An authentic 1950s piece
This is not a reproduction.
It carries the classic elegance of 1950s lighting, with the patina and presence only time can give.
Chandeliers of this scale were made for grand residences, hotels and public spaces, and few have survived intact.
On colour and style:
Amber glass sits naturally with walnut, brass, velvet, leather and warm stone.
Against white plaster or pale marble it becomes pure warmth.
Against deep greens, browns or oxblood it turns rich and enveloping.
It belongs in classic, retro and formal interiors, and it gives contemporary spaces a strong vintage anchor.
On scale:
As a rule of thumb, keep at least 210 cm (7 ft) between the lowest point and the floor in walk-through areas.
Above a dining table, allow about 75–90 cm (30–36 in) between the table top and the lowest point.
For this height, that means ceilings of roughly 4.7 m (15.5 ft) or more above a table, and about 5.3 m (17.5 ft) or more in a walk-through space.
Tip for designers: use warm-white bulbs (2700K or lower) to bring out the amber. Check the ceiling structure and anchoring first: at this scale, installation is part of the design.
