Twenty-four leaf-shaped glass panels, each one individually mouth-blown and hand-formed by Italian craftsmen. Arranged in a radiating composition around a large circular glass base — itself 15¾ inches across — they build a form that reads unmistakably as a flower: a precision of natural geometry translated into glass and light. At nearly 37 inches in diameter, it is not a discreet object. It was never meant to be.

Clear glass at this scale is a specific choice. It does not impose a colour or a mood — it borrows the room's light, bends it, multiplies it, and returns it transformed. In daylight, the 24 panels catch natural light from every angle, filling the ceiling with a shifting field of white reflections that move as the light outside moves. At night, with all nine E14 bulbs active, the flower opens differently: the glass diffuses the light inward and outward simultaneously, producing a warm, enveloping glow that reaches well beyond the fixture itself. A quality that no flush fitting or recessed light will ever replicate.

The supporting frame is gold-painted metal with brass details — a choice that roots this piece in the tradition of Italian decorative lighting at its most confident. The gold does not compete with the clear glass; it frames it, giving the composition a warm centre that the transparency of the panels then radiates outward from. Both the metal structure and the glass are in perfect condition. The wiring has been replaced and is in full working order — this piece is ready to install.
