How to choose the size of a runner rug

Here's a quick guide to the most requested sizes:

• 2'8" x 6'7" (80 x 200 cm): short hallways, small kitchens, alongside a single bed
• 2'8" x 8'2" (80 x 250 cm): entryways and galley kitchens of medium length
• 2'8" x 9'10" (80 x 300 cm): long hallways or behind a sofa

Please note: these sizes are indicative. The golden rule is to leave 3 to 6 inches (8 to 15 cm) of visible floor on each side of the runner, so that it breathes without looking like poorly cut wall-to-wall carpeting.
