The Private Design Collections at Murano Shutters are a bespoke selection and development journey that begins with a real project requirement and arrives at a tangible result: a mouth-blown Murano glass chandelier built to precise technical specifications, a hand-knotted rug with a colour palette studied for a specific environment, a Venetian mirror engraved with an exclusive motif.
Every access to these collections is handled in a personal and confidential manner. No piece is reproduced without authorisation. Every work is created once or at most in strictly limited series.

What the private offering includes
Murano Shutters' private collections span every major category of decorative luxury.
Chandeliers, sconces and ceiling lights crafted by the master glassmakers of the island of Murano using traditional techniques including soffiatura a bocca (mouth-blowing), pulegoso, lattimo and poliedri working.
Each piece can be developed in exclusive colourways, custom dimensions and bespoke metal structures; nickel, brass, gold, chrome.
For those drawn to the great names of twentieth-century Venetian design, from Venini to Mazzega, from Vistosi to Carlo Scarpa; it is possible to develop pieces inspired by the defining seasons of Italian artistic glass, backed by the Vetro Artistico® Murano certification as a guarantee of authenticity.
Every rug in the private collections is built from scratch: from the choice of fibre;New Zealand handspun wool, silk, Tencel, botanical viscose, cashmere, alpaca, bamboo silk; to the definition of the design, from the colour palette to the exact dimensions of the space to be covered.
Production takes place in India, with selected artisan workshops that work in continuity with the tradition of the Oriental knot; from the standards of Hereke and Ghom to contemporary references.
A custom rug of this quality requires weeks of work: it is an investment, not an impulse purchase.
The mirrors in the private collections are crafted using Venetian engraving techniques, with full customisation of shape, size, surface treatment and degree of antiquing.
They are designed for spaces where a single element must become the absolute protagonist; a dining room, an entrance hall, a boutique hotel suite.
Vases, centrepieces and decorative objects in hand-blown Murano glass, available in colour and formal variants developed exclusively for clients of the private collections.

Why Murano Shutters for a private project

All our Murano glass pieces are crafted on the island of Murano by Venetian master glassmakers, carrying the Vetro Artistico® Murano certification issued by the Consorzio Promovetro Murano.
These are not replicas or industrial products: every element is individually mouth-blown using techniques passed down through generations.
Working with us means defining every detail: dimensions, colours, materials, structures, finishes.
There is no catalogue to conform to there is a project to build together.
Our commercial headquarters is in Los Angeles; our production facility is on the island of Murano.
This dual presence allows us to work with international clients while maintaining direct oversight of Italian production.
