Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the site or placing an order. By using the site, you fully accept the conditions described below.

Murano Shutters Inc. is a company registered in the United States, with an operational warehouse in Italy.

2. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using muranoshutters.com, you declare that you are at least 18 years of age (or the minimum age required to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction) and that you fully accept these Terms and Conditions.

If you access the site on behalf of a company, architecture firm, interior design studio, or any other professional entity, you declare that you are authorised to accept these Terms on behalf of that subject.

Murano Shutters Inc. reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the site following the publication of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

3. Products and authenticity

All lighting products offered by Murano Shutters Inc. are handcrafted on the island of Murano by Venetian master glassmakers, in accordance with traditional techniques passed down from generation to generation, including soffiatura a bocca (mouth-blown glass), pulegoso, lattimo, poliedri, and the palmette technique.

Products bearing the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark are produced in compliance with the requirements of the Consorzio Promovetro Murano, which certifies the authenticity and Venetian origin of artistic glass.

Note: every piece is unique by definition. Variations in colour, texture, and shape that characterise hand-blown glass are not imperfections — they are the authentic signature of Venetian craftsmanship. Such variations do not constitute production defects and do not entitle the customer to a refund or replacement, except as otherwise provided by our returns policy.

Custom rugs are designed in Italy and handcrafted in India or Nepal by specialist artisans, using selected materials such as New Zealand wool, plant-based silk, Tencel, and viscose. For further details, visit the custom rugs page.

4. Orders and purchase contract

By placing an order on muranoshutters.com, you submit a binding offer to purchase the selected products.

The purchase contract is considered concluded at the moment Murano Shutters Inc. sends the order confirmation by email.

Murano Shutters Inc. reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of:

Errors in the price or product description on the site
Lack of product availability
Suspected fraudulent use
Inability to verify the payment details provided

In the event of cancellation of the order on our part, any amount already charged will be refunded in full within 14 business days.

5. Prices and payments

All prices listed on muranoshutters.com are expressed in US dollars (USD), unless otherwise indicated.

Prices include applicable taxes in accordance with the regulations in force in the destination country. Customs duties, import taxes, and any other charges that may be due in the recipient's country are the sole responsibility of the buyer, unless otherwise stated or agreed.

Murano Shutters Inc. accepts the following payment methods:

Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
PayPal
Bank transfer (on request, for bespoke commissions and B2B projects)
Other methods as indicated during checkout

Payment must be made at the time of order. For bespoke commissions, a deposit of 50% of the total amount may be required at the time of confirmation, with the balance due before shipment.

6. Bespoke products and custom commissions

Murano Shutters Inc. offers a bespoke design and production service for chandeliers, rugs, mirrors, and other decorative elements.

For personalised commissions, the following specific conditions apply:

The order becomes final only after written confirmation of the quote by both parties
The estimated production time will be indicated in the quote; any changes will be communicated promptly
Bespoke orders are not subject to the right of withdrawal under distance contract regulations, as they concern goods produced to the customer's specific instructions
The deposit paid is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the customer after production has begun

Our bespoke services include custom chandeliers, custom mirrors, custom rugs, and custom wallpaper.

7. Shipping and delivery

Shipments are made from the island of Murano, Venice, and/or from the warehouse in Italy or Los Angeles, depending on product availability.

Delivery times indicated on the site are estimates and are not guaranteed. Murano Shutters Inc. is not responsible for delays attributable to couriers, customs, or force majeure events.

Important: for international shipments outside the United States or Italy, the buyer is responsible for payment of any customs duties, import taxes, and other charges provided for by the regulations of the destination country (unless otherwise stated). Murano Shutters Inc. is not responsible for such costs or for delays arising from customs procedures.

8. Returns and refunds

Murano Shutters Inc. accepts returns within 14 days of the delivery date, exclusively for non-personalised products in original condition, unused and in intact packaging.

Returns are not accepted for:

Bespoke or custom-made products
Products damaged due to improper use or lack of care
Products returned after the 14-day deadline

To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at store@muranoshutters.com within the stated deadline, attaching the order number and photographic documentation of the product's condition.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is motivated by a production defect or an error attributable to Murano Shutters Inc.

9. Warranty

All products sold by Murano Shutters Inc. are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity in accordance with applicable regulations.

For production defects identified within 12 months of the delivery date, Murano Shutters Inc. will, at its discretion, arrange for repair, replacement of the product, or reimbursement of the amount paid.

The warranty does not cover damage arising from:

Improper use or lack of ordinary maintenance
Accidental events, impacts, or falls
Interventions by unauthorised third parties
Normal wear of the product over time

10. Intellectual property

All content on muranoshutters.com — including texts, photographs, images, videos, logos, graphics, and design — is the exclusive property of Murano Shutters Inc. or the respective rights holders, and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property law.

Reproduction, distribution, modification, or use of such content for commercial purposes without prior written authorisation from Murano Shutters Inc. is strictly prohibited.

11. Limitation of liability

Murano Shutters Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the site or the purchase of products, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

The total liability of Murano Shutters Inc. towards the customer shall in no case exceed the amount paid for the order in question.

12. Trade and B2B channel
