An original vintage Vistosi table, made by one of Murano's great names. Not a reissue, not a reproduction: the real piece, with its history.

Its base is a line of amber glass that zigzags around the table. Above it, a round top closes the shape and lets the colour shine through.

Craft and technique

Vistosi is one of the historic glassworks of Murano, known for its bold use of colour in design. Here the glass becomes structure: solid amber rods form the whole base of the table. The colour runs through the full thickness of the glass, from light honey to deep amber.

The rods cross each other in a continuous zigzag, forming a series of V shapes all around. Where they meet, warm metal fittings join them, at the top under the rim and at the bottom as pointed feet. The round top rests on this base, framed by a thin metal rim. Seen from any side, the base draws a different figure.

In daylight, the amber rods glow from within, like honey against the light. In the evening, under warm light, the colour deepens and the metal warms up with it. It's a small table, but it lights up the corner where you place it.
