There are chandeliers that simply light a room. And then there are pieces that make it bloom. This blue chandelier belongs to the second category: 36 palm leaves in hand-blown art glass, shaped one by one through the palmette technique, open outward from a gold-painted metal frame like a stylised flower suspended in mid-air.

The palmette is one of the most poetic expressions of Italian artisanal glassmaking: each leaf is individually blown and shaped through traditional soffiatura a bocca, so that no two palms share exactly the same curve or the same intensity of blue. Every element measures 10¼ in (26 cm) in length, and the composition is completed by a transparent hand-crafted glass finial at the base, a discreet detail that closes the silhouette with lightness. The design, in the late-XX-century style, pairs this botanical exuberance with a balanced, harmonious structure, equally at home in classic and contemporary interiors.

The chandelier measures 35 in (90 cm) in height with its chain and just 17¾ in (40 cm) without, with a generous diameter of 34¼ in (87 cm), wide and low proportions that make it especially elegant above a dining table. Three E14 light sources (bulbs not included) illuminate the blue palms from within, and on request the piece can be configured as a flush-mounted ceiling light without the chain.
