There are chandeliers that light a room. And then there are pieces that turn it into something else entirely.
This Murano glass chandelier belongs to the second category. Seventy-eight pink fuchsia glass tubes, each one mouth-blown; suspended in a sculptural composition that captures and refracts light differently at every hour of the day. This is not lighting in the conventional sense. It is an object that holds a conversation with the space around it, with the surfaces it touches, with anyone who enters the room.
Craftsmanship as foundation
Each tube is individually crafted by master glassmakers in Murano, following the mouth-blown technique passed down through centuries of Venetian tradition. The glass is finished with a silk surface: one that diffuses light softly, almost holding it, rather than throwing it back in hard reflections. The pink fuchsia chosen for this piece is not a neutral colour. It is a deliberate choice; a vivid, present pigment that defines the chromatic identity of an entire room without overwhelming it.
The polished nickel frame provides a clean, contemporary contrast, echoing the vocabulary of Italian design from the 1970s while remaining firmly of today. Gio Ponti spoke of softer lightness as an absolute aesthetic value: here, that lightness is structural, each element appearing almost to float.
Scale and visual presence
